Lagar de Darei – White 2013

Philosophy:

A wine with a contemporary style, having an elegant and intense profile. The wines show the character of the selected vineyard parcels on the Estate.

Harvest Year:

Excellent year for white wines in this region. Cooler than average spring and summer temperatures resulted in wines with intensity, freshness and balance.

Viticulture:

Soils are granite dominated sands. Between elevation and river driven humidity, Dao’s wide diurnal temperature shifts (20º+) ensure both white and red wines are endowed ample natural acidity. Dao wines are renowned throughout Portugal for their ‘freshness.’
Average age of vines: 9 years.

Grapes Varieties:

Encruzado, Malvasia Fina; Cerceal; Bical; Verdelho.
